As we expand our operations in West Africa, we’re hiring a Remote Prompt Engineer based in Nigeria to help us deliver next-generation marketing solutions powered by artificial intelligence.

About the Role
As Prompt Engineer at BluCactus Nigeria, you’ll write high-quality prompts, build AI-powered workflows, and help develop autonomous AI Agents that support client growth and internal operations. This is not a junior role — you’ll work closely with our CEO and performance
team to design scalable AI systems used across campaigns, client onboarding, and internal operations.
This is a role for a sharp thinker with strong writing skills and an engineer’s mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and optimise structured prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, and other LLMs
- Build and maintain GPT libraries and prompt templates for different use cases
- Design and deploy AI Agents that automate workflows like onboarding, reporting, sales prospecting, or HR screening
- Create automation flows using Make.com and Zapier to connect tools and reduce manual work
- Conduct research using Perplexity.ai to support proposal writing and campaign planning
- Create personalised video messages and content using AI tools like HeyGen and Photo AI
- Collaborate with our international team and contribute to global creative and performance campaigns
- Document internal AI processes, SOPs, and prompt engineering best practices
- Help educate other team members on writing and testing effective prompts

What You Bring
Core Requirements:
- Strong command of written English
- Proven experience writing prompts with clear structure and expected outcomes
- Understanding of prompt engineering components: role, context, format, and examples
- Proficiency in automation platforms like Make or Zapier
- Highly organised with an ability to think in systems and processes
- Based in Nigeria, with a reliable internet connection and ability to attend remote team calls
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, sales, or outreach automation
- Background in agencies, SaaS, eCommerce, or creative roles
- Familiarity with video AI tools like HeyGen, Opus Clip, or Photo AI
- Demonstrated ability to create scalable AI workflows used across teams
- Passion for emerging tech and desire to keep up with AI trends and tools
